Bin Music

May 2017

A broken guitar amplifier, a car battery and an inverter were hidden in a Bristol City Council bin to produce really loud and piercing drones. The bin was then dropped in different locations around Bristol city centre and filmed from afar in order to observe and document people’s reactions toward noise in the already extremely noise polluted urban environment. This is what happened.

Bin Music was made in together with fellow Dartington College of Art graduate Matt Webb and was commissioned by Bristol-based Impermanence company as part of their Mini Projects series.
