Recently I have developped Melting Buildings as a workshop. This format exploits the accessible nature of the music box, and builds upon a participatory approach that I have also explored as part of the installation/exhibition. It involves leading a group of participants through the discovery of the music box as a sound&light device, outlining various approaches for transcribing the Arts Tower facades in hole-punched scores and finally assembling polytopes. The workshop entails a return to working in-situ and in physical proximity to the Arts Tower. It begins at dusk, when the Arts Tower illumination starts becoming visible, and ends at night with the projection of the transcription scores.
