Melting Buildings is a collection of situated sound practices that I developed as part of my PhD (2020-2024). They investigate and re-imagine two of Sheffield’s modernist landmarks – The Arts Tower and Western Bank Library – using Henri Lefebvre’s rhythmanalysis as a form of urban poetics to explore notions of performance, material agency and the everyday in and of architecture.
